Supporting the use of ICT with staff

No matter how hard one tries, things go wrong. It’s a fact of life. You can plan to the Nth degree but there will be issues beyond your control which make you want to whack your head on the desk and crawl under a rock.

Today’s a good example.

My colleague and I are supporting other members of staff, providing training in Moodle, Prezi, Turntin, etc. Of course, the problem is that Turnitin is down throughout the UK. This has affected our training in Moodle.

We’ve also found issues in Moodle which have been frustrating; Prezi, fortunately, is working like a dream.

So what have I learned from this? Well, my old adage, Dinnae fash yersel’, comes to mind.

And if all else fails, try to convince your teaching partner to keep presenting using interpretive dance. At least it will keep the punters entertained.
